About the Author

Cathy Tenzo is a professional writer, artist and devoted seeker of joy. Her poetry and fiction have appeared in many places, including Asimov’s Science Fiction, Tales of the Unanticipated, Mythic Delirium, and Double Dare Press. She is also a performance poet who belongs to the Lady Poetesses from Hell, and the Ladies have recently released their first book of poetry. She used to go around calling herself Cathy Tacinelli (and sometimes she even published under that name) but she decided on a new last name and she’s not looking back. She loves modern art and high contrast, so she enjoys anything noir, including film noir and hardboiled mysteries; but she also loves anything fun and silly, like fingerpaints, bubbles and doo-wop music. She is a study in contradictions and proud of it. If you like what you see here, please check out her other blogs, Haiku Plate Special and License of Ink. You might like her businesses, too: Paper Bullets Press and Maypole Memoirs. You may have read some of her ghost writing, too. Or have you?

  1. H Cathy
I’m cleaning up my office at home and found a scrap of paper you gave me. My friend and I were holidaying in the US and shared a table with you in a bakery at the Pike Street Markets. We were heading to the Seattle Library. Just thought I’d see if you were on the net and say hello. I’m looking forward to Spring here, life’s good.
    Cheers

  2. Hey Cathy,
I too finally found the little slip of paper with the name of your blog on it and I have to say….very nice. You’ve got a great vibe going on in here.
I can’t tell you how nice it is to have met you and how you brighten my day at the market, in contrast to the times I get pissed off at people touching my instruments. But I’m getting better at spreading happiness and I’m trying to meditate more. But very nicely done. See you at the Bridge…..

    Ciao

  3. If you love pigeons, you’ll love my eBook “Wonky – an Uncommon Pigeon” – Wonky, rescued as a baby, grew up in a “flock” consisting of my husband, me and our two cats. He was funny, sensitive, loving and intelligent. He became disabled and could not stand, walk or fly. His cheerfulness in the face of disability was inspiring and his inseparable friendship with our last cat was heartwarming. We created physical therapy devices (illustrations and instructions are included in the book) which will be of help to others working with injured or handicapped pets. You will never look at a pigeon again without smiling. This book will make you believe in angels.

You are welcome to contact me if you have any comments. Keep smiling!

    • Hi Dulcimer,
I will check that out when I have time. I love pigeons, and I see you also wrote a book about veganism and I am also a vegan. Good luck with your writing, Cathy

  4. I just noticed that you do something extraordinary on your blog! You answer everyone who comments! I have never noticed this before because I don’t usually return to a blog once I’ve read the post. Perhaps you might consider answering from your email, which would put your response on your blog AND send it to the person you are responding to. This way, the generous time and effort you put into your responses would definitely be seen by the recipient. I greatly enjoy your blog posts! And I see that your comments are equally interesting, hence my suggestion!

    • If someone knows how to reply within email, please fill me in on the technical details–all I can see (as you can see below) is the option to “approve”, “trash”, or “mark as spam.” I am using WordPress.com. I do know, though that if you’re using WordPress yourself, you can see when someone replies to one of your comments on another WordPress blog–look up to the top right of your screen when you are logged in–this is the area that displays the little orange stars when someone “likes” one of your posts–if you click on the star, you’ll see a drop down menu of all recent activity–likes, follows, and replies to your comments–the reply displays when you click on the fact that someone has replied. You should also be able to click a box that says “notify me of follow-up comments by email”– someone please let me know if that doesn’t show up and I’ll investigate. Also, you should be able to “follow comments” when you leave one. I hope this helps–I would like people to see the follow-up comments. I do think that if people take the time to leave me one, I should be kind enough to leave one back–besides, I have such intelligent and interesting readers it is a delight to dialogue with everyone. This link may also help: http://en.support.wordpress.com/following-comments/

I'd love to hear what you have to say.
